I’ve been getting a lot of questions about pricing lately. Here’s a list. Oh, and yes, I know that I’m not the cheapest photographer around. I’m also not the worst photographer around (those things often go together). If you find someone cheaper, and their work is as good as mine (or better!), then do yourself a favor and hire them instead. But if you want someone experienced that has been there and done that (and can do an excellent job for you), read on!

First, Weddings:

$1495 for everything. That includes… well, anything and everything you want related to your big day. Want engagements? Check. Bridals? Yup. An extra shoot together? Why not? Full day wedding coverage, of course, and any other wedding-related sessions that you’d like.

$995 for just the wedding day (if you don’t need engagements, etc). The full day, of course, including everything you want covered that day, from getting ready to the reception clean-up. I will not be skipping out early, and really don’t like hourly rates… it’s all important, and I don’t want you to go without coverage of any part of your big day. I have a friend whose wedding photographer skipped out partway through the reception. Why? “Your time’s up!”. Never mind that the cake hadn’t been cut, the bouquet tossed, etc. That will not happen with me. You want it? You’ve got it, from start to finish.

Portrait (and other personal) shoots:

$295 for pretty much any “standard” photo shoot. This includes headshots, family portraits, senior pictures, pet photography, and pretty much anything else you can dream up.

Note that I’m happy to travel to wherever you’re at. Anywhere. That said, locations outside my usual operating area will cost more due to the travel time and expense. My usual area? Well, I live in Logan, Utah, and so anything within about half an hour or so of there (including Avon, Brigham City, Tremonton, Preston, and Garden City) are included in the rates above. Shoots happening between Pocatello and Spanish Fork (including Ogden, the Salt Lake City area, and Provo) are an extra $50. Outside that area, send me a message, and we’ll work something out.

Commercial (business) shoots:

I also shoot commercial events, products, and portraits. My current commercial rates:

$150 for the first hour, +$100 each additional hour
$400 half-day (4 hours)
$700 day rate (8 hours)

Inquire for other arrangements.

All packages include the delivery of fully-retouched, full-sized (printable) digital image files, plus whatever assistance with printing you would like from me (print pricing will be online soon).

Note that my prices are subject to change in the future, and are far more likely to go up than down.

Sales tax is required by the state of Utah for all photography services, and will be added to all prices above (6.6%).

Oh, and I’ve got a blog post with more info on what to expect when working with me.

Have a great day, and let me know how I can help you out!
