Some photography equipment needs regular calibration to perform at its best. As a service to other local photographers, I can calibrate:
$30 for one screen on one computer (laptop or desktop). $20 for additional computers done at the same time. Calibrating your monitor guarantees that what you see on the screen is what you will get on other devices (online displays, for instance), and in any prints.
Lenses (on camera bodies that support calibration)
$25 per lens on one camera body. Calibrating your lenses makes sure that your images are focused exactly where they should be, optimally tuned for the camera they’re mounted on. No more front- or back-focusing misses and blurry subjects. Turnaround time is typically 24 hours or less. To do a calibration, I will need your camera (with charged battery and a memory card), and the lenses you want calibrated.
Note: lower-end camera bodies often do not have the ability to calibrate lenses on them. This includes Nikon D3000 and D5000 series cameras, and the Canon Rebel series, among others.
